Renowned director Walter Salles takes on Jack Kerouac’s classic Beat Generation novel. British actor Sam Riley (Brighton Rock, Control) stars alongside Kristen Stewart (Adventureland, Into The Wild) and Garret Hedlund (Eragon, Tron: Legacy) in Kerouac’s loosely autobiographical stories of his time travelling across 1940s and 1950s America.
Fuelled by jazz, poetry, drugs and drink, On The Road - including fictionalised characters based on Beat legends Allen Ginsberg, William S Burroughs and Neal Cassady, amongst others - describes a post-war generation trying to discover its place in the world.
