Set in a 1970s Italian film studio, Toby Jones (My Week with Marilyn, Tinker Tailor Soldier Spy) plays the naïve and unworldly Gilderoy, the analogue engineer hired to create the weird and ghastly sounds effects needed for the horror film he becomes drawn into, until the lines between reality and art become blurred.
