In Paris,1910, a shy movie projectionist and a colourful inventor find themselves embarked on the hunt for a monster terrorizing citizens.

Together with cabaret-singer Lucille, an eccentric scientist and a monkey they discover that all is not what it seems, and perhaps it is the monster who needs protecting!
