Woody Allen: A Documentary
USA 2012. Directed by Robert B. Weide. Screening from 8-14 June.
In this documentary, first screened on PBS as a two-part series, iconic writer, director, actor, comedian, and musician Woody Allen allowed his life and creative process to be documented on-camera for the first time. With this unprecedented access, Emmy-winning, Oscar-nominated filmmaker Robert Weide followed the notoriously private film legend over a year and a half to create the ultimate film biography. Featuring interviews with his sister as well some of his most famous stars including Dianne Keaton and Owen Wilson, this is a must for the Woody Allen fan.
To celebrate its release we will be screening some classic Woody Allen films including Manhattan, Sleeper and Midnight in Paris alongside the documentary.
