A story of two generations of Poles: students and their parents. They are not able to communicate with each other, there is an emotional gap between them and also a difference between their opinions on history and in their moral dilemmas. Bartek, a student making his living by writing master's dissertations, comes into possession of a coat and a file left on a train by another passenger. When the phone in the coat’s pocket rings he doesn’t hesitate to answer it. From now on his life begins to change...
