Each episode lasts 30 mins. Tickets £3.50 per child (adults go free). No sole adults admitted.
In the Night Garden is best described as a modern televisual interpretaton of a nursery rhyme picture book. It is about a magical place that exists between waking and sleeping in a child's imaginaton. It is a place inhabited by a community of toy characters that care for each other and have fun together.
The programme is aimed at 1-4 year olds. Screenings are as follows:
Monday 2nd & Friday 6th Nov: Sneezing
Igglepiggle is skipping through the garden. Suddenly he lets out a very big sneeze! Don’t worry Igglepiggle it’s only a sneeze. Here comes Upsy Daisy, Igglepiggle is still sneezing and now Upsy Daisy does a big sneeze! The Tombliboos are hiding in the garden when suddenly there are one, two, three big sneezes and out pop the Tombliboos from behind the little round bush. Makka Pakka is tidying his stones when he lets out such a big sneeze that it makes the Pinky Ponk ponk into a tree! Bless you Makka Pakka! Everybody joins in the dance at the Gazebo.
Monday 9th & Friday 13th Nov: Hide and Seek
The Pontipines are playing a game of hide and seek with the Wottingers. The Pontipines hide whilst the Wottingers count. The Pontipine children keep changing their hiding places until they all end up in Upsy Daisy’s bed! Only Upsy Daisy is allowed in Upsy Daisy’s bed – and here she comes!
Monday 16th & Friday 20th Nov: Mind the Haahoos
The Pontipines and the Wottingers are out for a walk in the garden. Mrs Pontipine spots something through her binoculars, it’s the Ninky Nonk! All aboard the Ninky Nonk! Makka Pakka, Upsy Daisy and Igglepiggle all join the Pontipines and Wottingers for a ride on the Ninky Nonk. What a bouncy ride! Mind the Haahoos Ninky Nonk! What a clever Ninky Nonk.
Monday 23rd & Friday 27th Nov: The Pontipines Find Igglepiggle's Blanket
Igglepiggle is dancing in the garden when he loses his blanket. It has fallen on top of the teeny tiny Pontipine house. What are the little Pontipines to do? Mr Pontipine repeatedly rings Igglepiggle on the Trubliphone until, at last, Igglepiggle comes to where the blanket has fallen. Igglepiggle is thrilled to have his blanket back, the Pontipines can see out of the window again and everyone is happy.
Monday 30th Nov & Friday 4th Dec: Upsy Daisy Dances with the Pinky Ponk
Upsy Daisy shows her love for everything in the garden by dancing. Here she dances with the Pinky Ponk. The Pinky Ponk imitates her every move as they create a happy pas de deux.
Monday 7th & Friday 11th Dec: Everybody all aboard the Ninky Nonk
Everybody goes for a ride in the Ninky Nonk. Makka Pakka gets left behind. He chases the Ninky Nonk and everybody thinks he wants a ride, but all he wants is to give the Ninky Nonk a wash.
