Phoenix Open Day +

Interview with the Vampire Certificate: 18

Sunday 12th July | 2.00pm book tickets

At 3.30pm. 2hrs 2. Directed by Neil Jordan. With Tom Cruise, Brad Pitt, Christian Slater and Kirsten Dunst.

Immensely hyped before its release, the film version of Anne Rice’s iconic vampire chronicle cast a controversial Tom Cruise as the vampire Lestat. The film’s crowning achievement is the dark and stylish atmosphere and the sadness it attaches to the immortal lifestyle.

Join the staff and trustees of The Phoenix for this free event which gives an insight into how we run the UK’s oldest purpose-built cinema. There will be short presentations about what films we play and why, the education work we do, how we manage to remain competitive, and what’s happening with our Centenary Restoration Project among other topics. You’ll also have the opportunity to ask us about anything else you’d like to know. Following the event we’ll be screening Neil Jordon’s film, a scene from which was shot at The Phoenix.
