Supporting the Phoenix
Funding the Phoenix
As an independent cinema run by a charitable trust, the Phoenix is not-for-profit. We run the core business - the cinema - entirely through income from ticket sales, advertising, membership and kiosk bar income. We then run other work through a combination of designating funds from the cinema and external funding. This work includes education work, restoration of the building and special screenings.
