Work has started on The Phoenix's restoration project. The first stage was removing the bicycle rack, so that there is enough space on the pavement for pedestrians to get past the soon to be erected scaffolding.

Scaffolding cladding waits to be installed on the first day of the project.
The Phoenix's shape during the reconstruction starts to take place. The first scaffolding to go up is on Fairlawn Avenue, on the side of the cinema.
