Michael is another of the cinema's Patrons and held a fund-raising event at the cinema in February 2007, interviewed by Mark Steele with a screening of 'Monty Python and the Holy Grail'.

Terry came to the Phoenix in December 2006 for a screening of 'Tideland' followed by an interview with Bob McCabe.

21st Anniversary of the Trust - December 2006

The Trust that runs the Phoenix celebrated its 21st Birthday in December 2006 with a series of events charting the history of the Trust.  This culminated in an birthday party with a screening of 'Mona Lisa' on 10th December with the Mayor of Barnet cutting the cake.

Jewish Comedy Discussion - October 2006

Trudy Gold, the Chief Executive of the London Jewish Cultural Centre hosts a talk about the nature of Judaism and it's cultural relationship to comedy with arts documentary producer David Herman, veteran stand-up comic Ivor Dembina and director Rex Bloomstein. The Phoenix was honoured to welcome all four of the Gents for the first public screening of their debut feature film 'The League of Gentlemen's Apocalypse'.

A Tribute to Jack Rosenthal - 2005

Maureen Lipman was the first patron of the cinema, along with her late-Husband Jack Rosenthal she was been a stalwart supporter of the Phoenix.  When Jack died from cancer in 2004 we held a tribute event with Maureen, members of their family and friends.  They performed extracts from Jack's biography 'By Jack Rosenthal
