Interwar Social History

As part of a project on interwar social history focusing on the role of the cinema and the way it affects us, pupils are introduced to the topic with a visit to the cinema where they watch a selection of short old films, have a tour of the building and participate in an oral history workshop. The Phoenix will also organise the loan of relevant primary sources, including adverts, magazines, annuals and usher/usherette uniforms from The Cinema Museum. Suitable for KS3 History.
